Huez
Alpe d'Huez is one of Europe's premier skiing destinations (5th largest in France) with 249km of slopes and it is suitable for beginners right through to very experienced skiiers but particularly good for beginners, inermediate skiers and those who love off-piste skiing. The village is located at 1860m and is a 90 min drive from Grenoble airport. It has a glacier ensuring a long ski season and slopes up to 3,300m in altitude and encompasses the slopes of the outlying villages of Auris, Villard Reculas, Oz en Oisans and Vaujany. Other activities offered in the resort include ice driving, climbing (there's a climbing wall), swimming and skating.
